What can I expect?

You are welcome to join us for any of our services which can be found on our Sundays page. You will be welcomed in to Church by one of our smiling welcomers. There’s no need to sign up to come to Church, just arrive as you are!

Kids provision

Our 10:30am service is designed for all!  Come join our church family in worship.

Arrive. Connect. Have fun.

When you arrive, sign your children in with our friendly yellow t-shirt team.

Then, you can head into the church and find a seat or hang out together in our Kids Connect area with a family activity while you wait.

During the service, we’ll pray for the children before they head off with our leaders for their own extension of church in the Family Centre which is split into KS1, KS2 and ‘Youth’ groups.

Don’t worry - we’ll bring them back in time for the end of the service!

FAQs

  • No - come as you are in whatever you feel comfortable in. People at the 9.00am services tend to dress in smart casual clothing and people at the 10.30am service tend to dress more casually.

  • If you prefer to walk to Church our address is: St Mary’s Church, Church Lane, Arnold, NG5 8HJ

    There are buses which stop on the Arnold high street and along Calverton road.

    There is parking available at the recreation ground just past the Church on the right hand side as you go up the hill on Church Lane or prior to the Church on the left hand side as you go down the hill on Church lane. Parking is free and there are no time restrictions.

    Parking is also limited on Church lane and if you do park on the street, please be mindful of local residents. We'd ask you park in the recreation ground car park where possible.

  • Yes - the Church has a relatively level entrance which would be fine for wheelchair and mobility scooter users. The entrance doors are wide and there is an accessible toilet in the Church with a wide door too.

  • Yes - after the 9.00am service, refreshments are available in the Family Centre. Someone from our welcome team will gladly show you how to get there.

    After the 10.30am service, refreshments are available in the main Church buildings.

    You can expect tea, coffee, biscuits and squash!
